On getting a running tattoo

I have one tattoo on my entire body.

& It’s a runner.

I promised myself after I ran a half marathon I would get a tattoo to commemorate the experience. And I am so glad I did. Not only does this tattoo represent one race, but years and years and many miles worth of hard work and something I love.

Even though it took almost 6 months to get the ink, it was well worth the wait. I found a design I liked, a tweaked it a little to fit my personality (hence the red bow). The tattoo is right above my right ankle bone.

So while I am not one to tell you if you should/should not ink your body, I would encourage you, if you’ve been thinking about it, to give it a shot.

While I was nervous about putting something on my body that would be there for there rest of my life, I am so glad I did. I am damn proud of this tattoo and all it represents.
